In Memory: Richard G. Swift

Julia Masti, the Cameron Historian, and Vice President of the Middletown Historical Society, did an interview with Richard Swift at his home in Cameron, NY on March 13, 2020.

Richard 'Dick' G. Swift was born in Cameron, NY, January 13, 1936, the son of Jerald K. and Dorothy (Goodwin) Swift. Dick was an avid hunter, traveling all over the United States, as well as Mexico and various territories in Canada, to obtain his wild game. He enjoyed planting trees and cutting firewood. Dick was an all around outdoors man.

He was retired from Mercury Aircraft after 52 years of service and he was a US Navy Veteran. He was a life member of the NRA and The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He was also a member of the Bath V.F.W. Post 1470, the Springwater American Legion and the Sheep Foundation.
