How Cameron got it’s name
Cameron was named after and in honor of Dugald Cameron, an early settler of Bath, at one time agent of the Pulteney estate and one of the foremost men of the county during the period of his active life.

Dugland was a native of Inverness Shire Scotland and a patriot of his adopted country. Born 1775, died in the city of Albany while as a member of the Legislature of this state on March thirtieth 1828 aged 52 years.
